Ace of Blades – Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge 2023

You're here! We're so pleased – it means you'd like to donate to our three wonderful charities, Prostate Cymru, the Outward Bound Trust and Macmillan.

The challenge

In December 2023, Ace of Blades will attempt to row the Atlantic as part of the World's Toughest Row Atlantic Challenge. Setting off from La Gomera, the Canary Islands, and finishing in Antigua, we will be unassisted and completely self-sufficient for the duration of the 3000-mile crossing.

Why are we doing this challenge?

Well, we're four adventurous women who want to find out exactly what we're made of, and we all knew we couldn't say no to this. More than that, it's an opportunity to raise money for three charities that are very close to our hearts.

Macmillan and Prostate Cymru have supported members of the team personally, and even more people we are close to. Their work will is hugely important to those who have received a cancer diagnosis, and in helping people recognise when to seek help. Their support will remain important long into the future.

Outward Bound helped one of the crew to turn things around, and we are proud to help them do the same for thousands more young people.

How you can help

Getting to the start line is an endurance challenge in itself, and we are training, learning and organising like never before. Seeing your donations rolling in is giving us the drive to keep pushing to get there, and to get across the ocean.

Donating to our charities will allow Macmillan and Prostate Cymru provide support workers and specialist nurses to help people who have received a cancer diagnosis and their families. They also work to spread awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer, and how it is treated.

The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity that uses the outdoors to equip disadvantaged young people with valuable skills for school, work and life. Their goal is to empower all young people to succeed; for themselves, their communities and our wider society.
