Respite breaks for carers

Reaching our fundraising target of £5000 will provide 10 unpaid carers with a much needed respite break at Nutley Edge in East Sussex.

Respite breaks for carers is a much-needed service, but cuts to local authority budgets often means it is a service that is simply not provided. We are trying to change that in Greenwich. We have provided respite breaks at Nutley Edge before, we know they work and we know how much carers have valued their time there. Our aim is to initially fund respite breaks through donation and corporate sponsorship towards securing grant funding to continue the service.
