Thank You Very Much to the NHS – A song by Pop & Syra
Hello and thank you for clicking onto my page.My name is Paul Larkin (Pop). Like many other people, during the Covid lockdown over the past year I’ve looked at undertaking a project that would be purposeful and would hopefully provide some benefit to people.I enjoy listening to and playing music. I have seen and learnt about the amazing work that the NHS doctors and nurses have been doing day after day during the last year over and above expectations, due to the Covid pandemic. We have seen and heard how they are all exhausted and have been suffering themselves working so many hours and not taking breaks or having holidays and how many have, or will need help to recover from their exhaustion, trauma and anxiety of undertaking their roles in helping us to stay alive and recover.I decided I would summarise the events of what has happened over the past year and put the words into a song in which we could say thank you to the NHS staff for their amazing work, with the purpose of trying to raise as much money as possible to provide the NHS “Charities Together” with funds for which they could give help to all the NHS staff that need it now or sometime in the future.I hope you will listen to the song I have written and make a donation to raise money for our NHS staff.The eldest of my five granddaughters, Syra, who was 10 years old when this was recorded, joined me on the song as she loves music and singing (and it was not possible to have all 5 singing!).
